DJ sarasmile
DJ sarasmile is a music obsessive whose first "mixes" were the cassette tapes onto which she'd record oldies from local AM radio stations. Since then, she's become a crate digger specializing in disco, soul, R&B, AM Gold, and funk from the '60s through '80s. She's also a vinyl DJ playing live about town here in NYC, as well as the host of a weekly streaming radio show on KPISS.fm called Earthshine with sarasmile. She is in love with musical time-traveling and collecting fun facts about her favorite songs and artists. The first album she owned was a cassette of The Beatles' "Let It Be." One of her many, many favorite tracks is Sister Sledge's "Thinking of You," and one of her favorite concerts she's seen is Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band at Shea Stadium.
